Obituary of Claude Elmer Layne

GRUETLI-LAAGER - Mr. Claude Elmer Layne, 82, passed away peacefully Tuesday, October 23, 2018 surrounded by his family and friends. He was a founding member of Bibleway Holiness Church. He was born May 15, 1936 to Ike and Lillie Fults Layne who preceded him in death along with his brothers, Amos, Carl, Richard and Lonnie Layne; sisters, Lucille, Kelly and Carrie Layne.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Alene Layne; son, Don (Odessa) Layne; daughter, Connie (Jason) Roach; brother, Scotty Layne; sister, Joyce McDaniel; grandchildren, Marie (Jeremy), Bridget, Kendra, Kayla and Jay; great-grandchildren, Taylor, Katelyn, Katie, Skyler, Emma, Haley, Miley, Kiley, Sophie and Wesley; a host of loving nieces, nephews and his church family.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday in the funeral home chapel with Ministers, Jeremy Robinson, Mark Campbell and James Nolan officiating with burial to follow in the Palmer Cemetery.
