Obituary of Beverly Kay Sullivan

Spencer, TN-Beverly Kay Sullivan, 72, of Spencer, TN departed from this life on March 23, 2019 at her residence after an extended illness. She was born on May 19, 1946 to the late Edna Jane and Titus Page Sullivan Jr.

Beverly was a lifetime resident of Van Buren County and a member of Hill Road Baptist Church.  She enjoyed gardening, playing the piano and solving countless word searches. She loved spending time with her family and spoiling her grandchildren who called her “Nanny Worm”.  She also loved getting spoiled herself by her brothers.

She is survived by her children; Melissa (Joe) Martin, Diana Simmons, Jimmy Forsythe Jr., and Venita (Anthony) Martin all of Spencer, brothers; Dexter (MaryAnn) Sullivan of Massachusetts and Wayne (Sandra) Sullivan of Rock Island, half-sisters; Patricia Northcutt of Spencer and Vetta Sullivan of Sparta.  She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Beverly was preceded in death by daughter; Nina Jane Yates, son; Johnny Joe Forsythe, grandson; Kyle Edward Yates, sister; Sarah Rose Sullivan, brother; Billy Edward Sullivan and half-brother; Arnold Sullivan.

Funeral Service will be held at Layne Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday March 26, 2019 at 1:00PM with Pastor Darrell Nance of Cagle Community Church officiating.  Burial will follow in the Long Cemetery.  Visitation will be held at Layne Funeral Home on Monday March 25, 2019 from 1:00PM to 9:00PM and Tuesday March 26, 2019 from 9:00AM till time of service.
