Obituary of Guy Richard Anderson

Gruetli-Laager, Tennessee – Mr. Guy Richard Anderson, 69, passed away Wednesday, July 28, 2021, at his home.  He was born at Cumberland Heights Clinic in Coalmont, Tennessee on July 28, 1952, to George Allen Anderson and Bessie Lou Hale Anderson Sneed who preceded him in death along with his brother, Steve Allen Anderson.

He was a devoted Husband, Father and  Republican.

He is survived by his wife, Clair Slatton Anderson; sons, Richard Eric and Timothy Ray Allen “Traa” (Nicky Lancaster) Anderson; daughter, Ronda (Scott) Anderson-Sorrells; brothers, David (Dorothy) Anderson, Timothy (Carla) Anderson; sisters, Linda (Michael) White, Deborah (Bob) Coyle and Betty (Eddie) Corriher; 5 grandchildren, Macie, Avery, Trinity, Briley and Ally; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday in the funeral home chapel with Minister Raymond Borne officiating with burial to follow in the Swiss Colony Cemetery. 

Visitation: 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM Friday and Saturday 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, Tennessee.
