Palmer, Tennessee – Mrs. Mary Catherine Brewer, 86, passed away Sunday August 8, 2021 at the Sheltering Arms Assisted Living in Palmer, Tennessee.

She was born in Palmer, Tennessee on December 24, 1934 to Walter Coffelt and Tilda Roberts Coffelt who preceded her in death along with her infant son, Howell Lee Brewer; husband, Clifford Howell “Buck” Brewer; sisters, Carolyn Morris and Olivia Shrum; brothers, Vee Arthur, Wiley Whitfield, James Lee and Walter Edward Coffelt.

She is survived by her sons, Melvin (Ann) Brewer and Mitchell Brewer; daughter, Audrey (Tim) Shrum; sisters, Ophelia Baker and Inez Franklin; grandchildren, Kyle (Crystal) Shrum, Kurt (Jordan) Brewer, Heather (Brian) Melton and Devan Brewer; 10 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild. several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday in the funeral home chapel with burial to follow in the Browns Chapel Cemetery.

Visitation: 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM Tuesday at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, Tennessee.
