Obituary of Raymond Eugene Tase
Spencer, TN - Mr. Raymond Eugene Tase Jr., age 68, of Spencer passed away on Saturday September 18th, 2021 at St. Thomas West Hospital from complications of an illness. Raymond was born on April 29, 1953 in Spencer, TN to the late Raymond Eugene Tase Sr. and Virginia “Nannie” Osborne. Raymond enjoyed hunting, showing off his green thumb with his annual garden, watching the hummingbirds fly around the front porch, and spending time with his family.
In addition to his father and mother, Raymond was preceded in death by his step-father Jessie Osborne and sister Brenda Tase.
Raymond is survived by his loving wife; Margaret Tase of Spencer, son; Randy Tase of Spencer, daughter; Virginia Harper of Sparta, son; Gilbert Tase of London, England, grandson; Christopher (Zachary) Tase of Sparta, granddaughter; Alicia Manus of Sparta, grandson; Tyler (Tapanga) Mayfield of Spencer, grandson; Shane (Hannah) Mayfield of Sparta, great- grandchildren; Trenton Manus, Adrian Manus, Mercedes Manus, Aleeah Mayfield, Dawson Brock, sister; Patricia (James) Simmons of McMinnville, brother; Jearld (Brenda) Tayse of Spencer, sister; Debbie (James) Brymer of Spencer, sister; Jeanna Simpkins of Sparta, and many nephews, nieces, and friends.
Funeral services will be held Thursday September 23, 2021 at 1:00pm in the Layne Chapel with Bro. Nathan Haynes and Bro. Freddie Harding officiating. Burial will follow in the Crain Hill Cemetery. Visitation times are, Wednesday 2:00pm to 9:00pm and Thursday 10:00am till time of service at 1:00pm.
Pallbearers: Tyler Mayfield, Johnathan “Bug” Simmons, Jason Halliburton, Jeff Haston, Jeffrey Mitchell, and Benji Moore.
