Obituary of Jerry Leavern Tate

Beersheba Springs, Tennessee – Mr. Jerry Leavern “Pa” Tate, 66, passed away Tuesday November 2, 2021 at the Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro after a battle with covid.  He was born in Beersheba Springs, Tennessee on October 12, 1955.

 

He was preceded in death by his mother, Juanita Tate Smartt; wife, Pricilla Christine Knight Tate; son, Jerry Tate Jr.; brother, Larry Layne; son-in-law, Kendal Wooten.

 

He is survived by his daughters, Kristy Wanamaker (Steven Tittsworth), Mendy (Jeffery) Scruggs and Miriah Wooten; brothers, Johnny “Hoss” Whitman, Vernon “Bud” Whitman, Marlin Whitman; sisters, Carol Brady and Phoebe (Vic) McGee; 12 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

 

Graveside funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday at the Hunerwadel Cemetery with Minister Wayne Norris officiating.
