Obituary of Layla Miles Carson

Spencer, TN-Layla Miles Carson, age 6, passed away Friday January 21, 2022 at Saint Thomas Highlands Hospital. She was born on August 20, 2015 to Matt and Dana McBride Carson and lived in the Burgess Falls area of White County. Layla was a lovely and sweet little girl who enjoyed life and her family. She attended kindergarten in Van Buren County where she had many friends who will miss her greatly.  

Layla was preceded in death by paternal grandfather; Steven Carson, and maternal grandparents; Albert and Donna McBride.

Layla is survived by her loving family, parents; Matt and Dana Carson, sister; Halie (Tyler) Martin, grandparents; Sam and Diane Slatton, aunts, and uncles; Chris Carson, Scarlett and Ethan Farmer, Wayne and Abby Barnes, Stephanie and Brian Maxie, Barney and Christine Slatton, Ruthie and Miles Dunlap. A large extended family also survives.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday January 25, 2022 at 2:00pm at Ole Bethel Baptist Church with Bro. Jeff Randolph officiating.  Burial will follow in the Friendship Cemetery.  Visitation will be held, at the church, from 12:00 noon till time of service at 2:00pm.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be given to Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt.
