Gruetli-Laager, Tennessee – Mrs. Helen Ozell Sanders, 88, passed away Thursday May 26, 2022, at her home.  She was born in Palmer, Tennessee on January 7, 1934, to Werner and Annie Layne Layman who preceded her in death along with her husband, Albert Jr. Sanders; brothers, Ralph, Gene, Hurl, and Everette Layman; sisters, Odell Childers, Jeanetta Scroggins, Geneva Conry, Ann Underhill and Annetta Turner; sons, Albert Myron, Larry Michael, Dennis Ray and Tommy Darrell Sanders; daughters, Sandra Singleton and Rita Kay Sanders.

She is survived by her sons, Andy and Rick Sanders; daughters, Karen Ann Sanders, Mildred Lynn Borne and Donna Sue Nunley; brother, Millard (Betty) Layman; a host of grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday in the funeral home chapel with Minister Brett Meeks and Bobby Winton officiating with burial to follow in the Swiss Colony Cemetery.

Visitation: 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM Saturday at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, Tennessee.
