Gruetli-Laager, Tennessee – Mrs. Jeanie Darlene McDaniel, 65, passed away Tuesday June 21, 2022, at the STRHS Hospital in Winchester, Tennessee.  She was born in Palmer, Tennessee on June 22, 1956, to Hubert and Rosa Nell Scruggs Hammers who preceded her in death along with her brothers, James, Ronald and Dale Hammers; sister, Loretta Philpott.

She is survived by her husband, Michael McDaniel; son Michael H. (Kimberly) McDaniel; daughter, Kristy (Ricky) Scott; sisters, Linda Anderson, Sue Dodson and Mary Rollins; brothers, Robert (Carol) Hammers, Tim (Debbie) Hammers and Tony Hammers; grandchildren, Ethan, Sarah and Michelle; great grandchildren, Caspian, Elliana and Bentley; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Friday in the funeral home chapel with Minister Virgil McNeece officiating with burial to follow in the Palmer Cemetery.

Visitation: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM Friday at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, Tennessee.
