Obituary of Georgia Novella Knight
Beersheba Springs, Tennessee – Mrs. Georgia Novella "Doodle Bug" Knight, 91, passed away Friday July 1, 2022, at the Willow Branch Nursing Home in McMinnville, Tennessee. She was born in Coalmont, Tennessee on November 27, 1930, to George Nunley and Lila Shadrick Nunley who preceded her in death along with her husband, William Dennis Knight; son, Dennis Houston Knight; daughter and son-in-law, Christine and Jerry Tate; brothers, James, John Henry, Richard and Taylor Nunley; sisters, Virginia “Diddy” Meeks, Dorie Bean, May Elvie McCarver, Irine Tate and Della Campbell.
She is survived by her son, Rowland Knight; grandchildren, Kristy (Steven) Tittsworth, Tonya Knight, Mendy (Jeff) Scruggs, Natasha (Michael) King and Miriah (Late Kendall) Wooten; 14 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with Minister Jimmy King officiating with burial to follow in the Hunerwadel Cemetery.
Visitation: 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM Tuesday at Layne Funeral Home, Altamont, Tennessee.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to help the family with funeral expenses.
