Coalmont, Tennessee – Mr. Johnny C. Irvin, 77, passed away Tuesday August 2, 2022, after a very brief illness. He was born in Palmer, Tennessee on October 30, 1944, to Bill Irvin and Hilda Grace Newsome Irvin Sartain who preceded him in death along with his wife, Gail Green Irvin; infant son, Johnny Kyle Irvin; bro. Pastor Russell Irvin.

Johnny was a heavy equipment operator and a kind friend to all who knew him.

He is survived by his daughter, Jill (Billy) Harrell of Unionville, Tennessee; grandchildren, Carrigan (John) Lucas and Kendall Harrell; fiancée, Jean Parsons; sister, Angela Green; brother, Jim Sartain; loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Saturday in the funeral home chapel with Minister Clayton Jones officiating with burial to follow in the Coalmont Cemetery.

Visitation: 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM Friday at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, Tennessee.
