Obituary of Thomas David Scissom

Coalmont, Tennessee – Mr. Thomas David Scissom Sr., 80, died Friday September 30, 2022, at his home.  He was born in Palmer, Tennessee on November 26, 1941, to Jay Scissom and Lora Meeks Scissom who preceded him in death along with his wife, Sharon Rose Sweeton Scissom; brothers, James Edward and Harold Gilbert Scissom.

He was retired from the State of Tennessee and was a US Army veteran of the Vietnam War.

He is survived   by his son, Thomas David (Tabitha) Scissom Jr.; brothers, Billy (Debbie) and Ronnie (Mable) Scissom; grandchildren, Amber (Adam) Hanner and Carrie (Jesse) Tate; great grandchildren, Briley Scissom, Brooklyn Hanner, Jordon Sanders, Jathon Hanner and Emily Tate; several nieces and nephews.

Graveside funeral services will be held 5:00 PM Saturday October 1, 2022, at the Coalmont Cemetery.
