Obituary of Lessie Marian Harris

Altamont, TN - Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Friend Lessie “Marian” Harris has passed from this life. Born in Tampa, Florida May 8, 1931, she died in Altamont Tennessee, December 18, 2022. She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Harold Edsel Harris, her parents, Perry Newton and Lena Viola Chancey, and 2 sisters, Lanelle Futch and Virginia Lear. Her survivors include her brother Charles Perry Chancey, 3 children ,Wayne Harris (wife Patti) Linda Casey (husband Harold)and Julia Hunt (husband Jeffrey) 5 grandchildren, Jessica Broyles, Shaun Casey, Joanna Finley, Timothy Casey and Douglas Harris, she was blessed to meet 9 great-grandchildren. Marian was industrious, friendly, hospitable, always proud of her family and loved the Lord. Her influence and guidance will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was a resident of Altamont, Tennessee for 43 years and will be laid to rest next to her husband in the Altamont cemetery. 

A memorial service will be held January 7, 2023 at 11:00 AM in the funeral home chapel.

Family will receive visitors starting at 10:30 AM until time of service.
