Whitwell, Tennessee – Mr. James Henry Worley, 88, passed away Tuesday January 3, 2023, at the Unity Medical Center in Manchester, Tennessee.  He was born in Whitwell, Tennessee on November 23, 1934, to Clayton Worley and Lila Morrison Worley who preceded him in death along with brothers, Jack, Tom and Russell Worley; wife, Dorothy Mae Layne Worley; sons, Michael David and Timmy Dewaine Worley.

He attended the Palmer Nazarene Church and retired from Tennessee Consolidated Coal Company.

He is survived by his sons, Jimmy Derriel (Janice) Worley and Tony Dale Worley; sisters, Emma Jean Fults and Sherry King; grandchildren, Latosha, Christin, Jimmy Derriel II, Micah and Reagan; great grandchildren, Kynslee and Kaylee; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday in the funeral home chapel with Minster Stanley Coppinger officiating with burial to follow in the Griffiths Creek Cemetery.

Visitation: 4:00 PM – 9:00 PM Saturday at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, Tennessee.
