Spencer – Mr. Billy Wayne “Bill” Hedgecoth, 78, died Thursday October 27, 2016 at his home with his family at his side. He was born in Pikeville, Tennessee on August 20, 1938 to William Bryant and Mattie Davis Hedgecoth who preceded him in death along with his brothers, Carl, Ray and Paul Hedgecoth; sisters, Ruby Reece and Martha Jones.
He was a member of the Clarks Chapel Church of God and had worked in timber, as a security guard, senior companion and many other trades up until his health declined.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Geneva Hale Hedgecoth; son, Terry Rex Narramore; sister, Helen Keedy, Pikeville, TN; grandchildren, Tina (Tommy) Simmons, Rodney (Tyanna) Hill, Stephen (Aleysha) Hill and Amanda Narramore, Terry Lynn Hale; great-grandchilden, April Sunshine Simmons, Corey Edward Simmons, Alyssa Rayne Simmons and Brayden Thomas Simmons along with other great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday in the Layne Funeral Home chapel with burial to follow in the Spencer Town Cemetery. Visitation: 2:00 PM – 9:00 PM Saturday and 9:00 AM – time of service at Layne Funeral Home, Spencer, Tennessee. www.laynefuneralhome.com
