I remember visiting the Turner cottage in Beersheba Springs, TN, in the late’60’s and eating the fabulous food Edna put on the table three meals a day. I have searched high and low for her biscuit recipe ever since but haven’t found anything thing close to those tiny flaky biscuits!
Other than her cooking, I remember Edna’s kindness and patience. It couldn’t have been easy to manage her own household while cleaning and cooking for Turner cottage all summer but as a teenager, I thought she was unflappable! I remember brushing Norma Jean’s hair and fixing her up like the pretty princess she was. Nothing but happy memories of the family and my months at the cottage. If anyone would like to share her biscuit recipe, the tiny one that is almost like pie crust, I’d love to have it! Pat Oaks Dexter
