Obituary of Roy Glynn Blanton

Spencer, TN-Mr. Roy Glynn Blanton, 69, passed away Tuesday June 19, 2018, with his loving family at his bedside, from an extended illness.  Mr. Blanton was born August 23, 1948, in Spencer, to Roy Martin Blanton and Lola Mae Yates Blanton who preceded him in death.  He was a lifelong resident of Spencer, and a member of Welchland Baptist Church.  Mr. Blanton was a pipe layer and a long-time employee of Flat Rock Construction.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by: Son Roy Glynn Blanton Jr. and Brother Coy Yates.

He is survived by his loving wife Darlene Blanton of Spencer, Sons; Charles (Tina) Blanton and Joel (Felicia) Blanton both of Spencer. Daughter Tracy (Ricky King) Blanton of McMinnville.  Eight Grandchildren; Shelby, Elaina, Samantha, Ethan, Breonna, Veronica, Dylan and Kellie.  Great-Grandchild Lukas.

There will be no visitation or services at the funeral home.  The family will have a private memorial service at a later date.
